Our Mission To provide each student with the knowledge necessary to develop and
awareness of their fitness level, both mentally and physically, the
resources to improve their fitness level, and the foundation to enable
them to make healthy lifetime decisions. "To build the foundation for
lifetime fitness."
“Of all subjects taught in school, Physical
Education is the only subject which, by the very nature of its content,
has the potential to affect how a person will feel every moment of every
day for the rest of his or her life”…Allen Russell
Our Program
All students at Clifton Middle School are required
to participate in daily Health & Physical Education. Class lengths vary from
trimester, semester, or year, depending upon the exploratory tract the student
has chosen. The average week consists of four days of Physical Education and one
day of Health.
Our Goals:
Have each student become aware of his fitness level and learn ways to
improve his overall fitness.
Have each
student demonstrate a knowledge of the basic rules and skills pertaining to the
activities and games introduced in class.
Provide each student with the knowledge necessary
to make positive healthy lifetime choices.
