When asked about his appointment, Mr. Ross stated, “I am extremely humbled and thrilled to use my passion and knowledge for education to help guide instruction for Alleghany High School and Clifton Middle School.  I am anxious to start my new journey, and I am honored that Acting Superintendent Callahan, the selection committee, and the School Board have chosen me for this new role.  I have been truly blessed to be part of the Alleghany County Community Family, and I am ready to help with the continued enhancement of the comprehensive instructional plan.”

Speaking on the administrative change, Acting Superintendent Sherman Callahan stated, “I feel that Mr. Ross embodies what Alleghany County Public Schools means to our faculty and students. His desire for students to succeed is second to none and I feel that his experience will be of great value to our instructional program. I am truly excited for him and our school division on his appointment”.
