Food Services

Alleghany County Schools will again be participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the 2018-2019 school year. In addition to  Mountain View Elementary, Sharon Elementary is also eligible. All students at these two schools will eat breakfast and lunch at no charge.

If a student transfers from a CEP to an non-CEP school within Alleghany County and the student is not eligible for free meals by direct certification, a household income application for free and reduced price meal benefits must be completed and submitted to the school within 10 days of the enrollment in the new school.

Also, there is a $20.00 charge limit on cafeteria purchases. Letters are sent out weekly, as well as reminders by the School Messenger each Friday afternoon. Parents are encouraged to keep student charges paid.
