RATIONALE

VTSS is a data-driven, decision-making framework for establishing the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional supports needed for a school to be an effective learning environment for all students. The framework includes strategies and tools for meaningful family and community engagement. We currently have two schools, CMS and MVES who are participating in this pilot program. Each school has a VTSS/PBIS team and we also have a team at the division level. Each school runs this program differently to meet the needs of their students, CMS has a designated time for teaching PBIS lessons and to reinforce behavior, and MVES teachers embed their PBIS lessons in their daily lesson plans. In prior years these Grant funds have been used to purchase materials and equipment to help support this program. Funds have also been used to pay for professional development and related travel costs. Please enjoy this video showing all the great things the students and staff are doing for VTSS/PBIS.
