TWO-WAY COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
The following two-way communication system shall be provided by the superintendent and his/her designees in accordance with School Board policies BG, GBB and GBD.
The superintendent and the administrative staff shall maintain direct and on-going two-way communication with employees through school site visits, and discussions during periodic faculty meetings and classified employee forums.
Periodic surveys also shall be used to promote communications and to secure the involvement in the decision-making process by employees and other stakeholders.
The superintendent and the administrative staff also shall maintain representative two-way communication with employees and other stakeholders through monthly and quarterly advisory committees.
No statement in this regulation is intended to discourage adherence to proper channels of communication by employees, parents, students and other citizens. It remains the intention of the School Board and the superintendent that effort be made to address all concerns and questions at the administrative source closest to any given issue. In most cases, communication should begin with the building-level administration, then with the respective division-level administrator who is responsible for the issue in question, then with the superintendent, and then with the School Board.
